which means "in your making go up"

Numbers 8:1 - 12:16; Zechariah 2:10 [14] - 4:7; Revelation 11:1-19

Num 8:1  And YHVH* spoke to Mosheh saying,
Num 8:2  Speak to A’ha’ron, and say to him, When you bring the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.

We need to be lights. We need to be full of oil.

Mat 5:14  "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

You are the only light that some people see. You are the only one that some will hear. You are the only one that might be a light to someone today. Will you let your light shine?

Num 8:6  Take the Levites from among the sons of Yisrael, and purify them.
Num 8:7  And in this way shall you do to them to purify them. Sprinkle water of sin-offering on them, and let them shave all their flesh and wash their clothes, and make themselves clean.

We need to be Set Apart. We need to be Devoted.

1Jn 2:15  Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1Jn 2:16  For all that is in the world--the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions--is not from the Father but is from the world.
1Jn 2:17  And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of Eloheem abides forever.

Everyday is a new day. Everyday we need to freshly devote, commit and focus ourselves on YHVH.

Num 9:15  And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony. And at evening it was upon the tabernacle, looking like fire, until the morning.
Num 9:16  So it was always. The cloud covered it, and it looked like fire by night.
Num 9:17  And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the sons of Yisrael pulled up stakes. And in the place where the cloud stayed, there the sons of Yisrael pitched their tents.
Num 9:18  At the command of YHVH the sons of Yisrael pulled up stakes, and at the command of YHVH they pitched. As long as the cloud stayed upon the tabernacle they rested in camp.
Num 9:19  And when the cloud stayed long upon the tabernacle many days, then the sons of Yisrael kept the charge of YHVH and did not journey.
Num 9:20  And so when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle, according to the command of YHVH they remained in their tents, and according to the command of YHVH they pulled up stakes.
Num 9:21  And so when the cloud stayed from evening to the morning, and the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they pulled up stakes. Whether by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they pulled up stakes.
Num 9:22  Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud stayed upon the tabernacle, remaining on it, the sons of Yisrael stayed in their tents and did not journey. But when it was taken up, they pulled up stakes.

We need to be Spirit Filled. We need to be Spirit Led.

Rom 8:5  For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6  For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Rom 8:7  For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to Eloheem, for it does not submit to Eloheem's law; indeed, it cannot.
Rom 8:13  For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Rom 8:14  For all who are led by the Spirit of Eloheem are sons of Eloheem.

Num 10:35  And it happened when the ark pulled up, Mosheh said, Rise up, YHVH, and let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You.
Num 10:36  And when it rested, he said, Return, O YHVH, to the many thousands of Yisrael.

This is a prophetic and profound scripture. (enclosed with reversed nuns) When we lift up YHVH our enemies will scatter. When we lift up Messiah, everyone will be pulled toward Him. We need to get ourselves out of the way and point people to Him.

Num 11:1  And the people were evil, as those complaining in the ears of YHVH. And YHVH heard, and His anger glowed, and the fire of YHVH burned among them and devoured in the extreme edge of the camp.

Num 11:4  And the mixed multitude in their midst lusted with great lust. And the sons of Yisrael also turned and wept, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
Num 11:5  We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic.
Num 11:6  But now our soul is dried away; there is nothing at all besides this manna before our eyes.

We should not lust. We should not complain.

1Co 10:6  And these things were our examples, that we should not be lusters after evil, as they also lusted.
1Co 10:7  Nor should we be idolaters, even as some of them, as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play."
1Co 10:8  Nor let us commit fornication, as some of them fornicated, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
1Co 10:9  Nor let us tempt Messiah, as some of them also tempted Him and were destroyed by serpents.
1Co 10:10  Nor murmur as some of them also murmured and were destroyed by the destroyer.
1Co 10:11  And all these things happened to them as examples; and it is written for our warning on whom the ends of the world have come.

How bout you? What has been coming out of your mouth? We only have one. It is small, but can do enormous damage. Guard your lips and your heart. Stay full of thanksgiving and praise. Love YHVH with all your heart, soul and strength.

Num 11:16  And YHVH said to Mosheh, Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Yisrael, whom you know to be the elders of the people, and the officers over them. And bring them to the tabernacle of the congregation so that they may stand there with you.
Num 11:17  And I will come down and talk with you there. And I will take of the spirit on you, and will put it on them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you so that you do not bear it yourself alone.
Num 11:18  And say to the people, Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat flesh. For you have wept in the ears of YHVH, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat, for it was well with us in Egypt? Therefore YHVH will give you flesh, and you shall eat.
Num 11:19  You shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days.
Num 11:20  Even a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils, and it is hateful to you, because you have despised YHVH among you, and have wept before Him, saying, Why did we come out of Egypt?

Num 11:25  And YHVH came down in a cloud and spoke to him, and took of the spirit on him and gave it to the seventy elders. And it happened when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. But they never did so again.
Num 11:26  But two of the men stayed in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad (Eloheem has loved), and the name of the other was Medad (love, affectionate). And the Spirit rested upon them. And they were of those who were written, but did not go out to the tabernacle. And they prophesied in the camp.
Num 11:27  And a young man ran and told Mosheh, and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.
Num 11:28  And Y’hoshua the son of Nun, the servant of Mosheh, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Mosheh, make them cease.
Num 11:29  And Mosheh said to him, Are you jealous for my sake? Would Eloheem that all YHVH's people were prophets, that YHVH would put His Spirit upon them!

There were only Two that continued to prophecy. What happened to the rest. Many are called, but few are chosen. There are many who start the race, but few that finish it. There are many that backslide and turn from YHVH. Eldad and Medad, (Eloheem has loved & loved) continued to be used by Eloheem and be filled with the Ruach HaKodesh. Stay in love with YHVH. Stay madly in love with YHVH. No matter what else in life you pursue, don’t fall away from your first love.

Eloheem wants you to prophesy. Eloheem wants to use you.

1Co 14:1  Follow after charity and desire spiritual things, but rather that you may prophesy.

1Co 14:31  For you may all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all may be comforted.

1Co 14:39  So then, brothers, seek to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in languages.
1Co 14:40  Let all things be done decently and in order.

Num 11:33  And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of YHVH was kindled against the people, and YHVH struck the people with a very great plague.
Num 11:34  And he called the name of that place Graves of Lust, because there they buried the people that lusted.

Num 12:1  And Miriam and A’ha’ron spoke against Mosheh because of the Cushite woman whom he had taken. For he had taken a Cushite woman.
Num 12:2  And they said, Has YHVH indeed spoken only by Mosheh? Has He not also spoken by us? And YHVH heard.

Num 12:10  And the cloud moved from the tabernacle. And behold! Miriam became leprous, as snow. And A’ha’ron looked on Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.
Num 12:11  And A’ha’ron said to Mosheh, Oh, my lord, I beg you, do not lay upon us the sin in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.
Num 12:12  Let her not be like one dead, of whom the flesh is half gone when he comes out of his mother's womb.
Num 12:13  And Mosheh cried to YHVH saying, Heal her now, O Eloheem, I beseech You.
Num 12:14  And YHVH said to Mosheh, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received.

Watch your Mouth. Watch your Words.

Pro 6:2  if you are snared in the words of your mouth, caught in the words of your mouth,
Pro 18:7  A fool's mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul.

Pro 13:3  Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

Pro 18:21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Pro 21:23  Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.

Col 3:8  But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

Eloheem wants to Forgive you.  Eloheem wants to Heal you.

Psa 103:1  Bless YHVH, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
Psa 103:2  Bless YHVH, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
Psa 103:3  who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,
Psa 103:4  who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
Psa 103:5  who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Psa 103:8  YHVH is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
Psa 103:11  For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
Psa 103:12  as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Isa 53:4  Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by Eloheem, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5  But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.

1Pe 2:24  He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Jas 5:14  Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of YHVH.
Jas 5:15  And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and YHVH will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Jas 5:16  Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

*YHVH represents Elohim’s holy name. These four letters, called the tetragrammaton, are pronounced, Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh. There are many different opinions as to how exactly the name is to be pronounced or if it should even be pronounced at all. The name means, ‘He shall be’, The letters mean, ‘Hand~Behold~Nail~Behold’. The Name points us to Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah and the wonderful good news of salvation. In this article, when you see and read this “YHVH” in Scriptures, you could choose to say, Yud~Heh~Vav~Heh, Adonai, The LORD, The Living Omnipresent Ruler Divine, The Eternal, etc.. If you wish to try and pronounce the name, please do so respectfully and reverently.

What's a Parashah?

Parashah is a Hebrew word that means portion.

Synagogues around the world read the same parashah each Shabbat. The Torah is divided into 54 weekly portions so that the whole Torah is read annually. Selections from the Haftarah (Prophets) are also read each week, and in Messianic congregations, selections from the Brit Chadashah (New Testament) are included. Holiday selections are also listed for the Feast Days.
